Before Branden Pannell ever grabbed a mic, he was fighting

battles nobody could see. Smiling on the outside, breaking

on the inside. Raised in Harlem and recruited to play

college ball, he walked in with talent, toughness,

and a secret weight: fear.

Fear of failing when it mattered most.
Fear of disappearing when the lights went out.

Then the injury came. The cheers stopped. The silence grew loud. And in that silence, God moved. Where loneliness cut deepest, identity was rebuilt and faith became real.
